Opening Ceremony

AoC Sport are delighted to announce that the host of this year's opening ceremony will be Paralympic Gold Medalist and former world record holder, Danny Crates.

At the age of 21, as a promising rugby placer Danny lost his right arm in a car accident and went on to pursue competing in athletics, winning medals at two Paralympic Games as well as winning a total 11 further gold medals in World and European Championships. Danny carried the Olympic torch in 2008 and was part of the UK's commentary team for the London 2012 Paralympics. He is a world renowned motivational speaker and TV presenter and we're so excited to have him hosting our opening ceremony.

All competitors, staff and visitors are invited to attend the opening ceremony at the David Ross Sports Village from 8-9pm on Friday 20 April. Doors open at 7.10pm and close at 7.55pm strict.

Closing Ceremony

On Sunday 22 April we will announce the winners of the prestigious Wilkinson Sword trophy, can any one wrestle it off the South East team?! Students will be able to enjoy a variety of finals in the lead up to the presentation, including, squash, table tennis and volleyball.
